The Wildest Show In Town

We went to see the Wildest Show in Town at the Honolulu Zoo tonight.  Mommy brought me earlier and I got to color a picture of a tiger.  We went to see the gibbons and lemurs and elephants.  We had brought Vietnamese sandwiches and popcorn.  Nana and Pop and Daddy met us there.  We sat out on our beach mats and listened to the sweet voices of the Hawaiian band Maunalua.  After I ate a bit, I ran around and saw the elephants again.  One of the elephants came really close to the wall and had his trunk out over the fence!  That was pretty cool!  It's always fun to sit out and relax on the grass, listening to Hawaiian music as the trade winds blow by (thank goodness there were some!).  I climbed on the tree (that you're not supposed to climb on) and said bye to the dolphin statue before playing hide and go seek behind the huge tree trunks on our way to the car.

We'll be back next Wednesday (and every Wednesday after that) thoughout this summer.  Although it was a free event when Mommy and Daddy were kids, they only charge $3 per person.  It's a nice family event, and besides, would I miss out on visiting the animals?!  No way!
