Tony and Tina's Wedding

We went on a date night! Woo hoo! To Tony and Tina's Wedding. It was hilarious! We did the electric slide and gabbed with the crazy Italian wedding party. What a hoot!

Waikiki Beach with the Family

We met Aunty Shelly and Uncle Jay at the beach. My other Aunty Shelley and Uncle Keith and cousins Kyle and Courtney were visiting from California. They hung out at the beach with us too, while everyone watched the surf competition.

The funniest part of the day was when Zack fell asleep in his turtle floatie. After about 5 minutes, he just fell asleep to the rhythm of the ocean. And, Mommy even carried him out of the water, and he was still sleeping!

Wildest Show In Town

One of our favorite family traditions is going to the Wildest Show in Town at the Honolulu Zoo every Wednesday during the summer. Families pack a picnic dinner, bento, etc., bring their beach mats and chairs, and listen to some great Hawaiian music. Nana and Pop usually meet us there, and Mom always tried to get us there early so we could walk around the zoo a bit before we sat down to visit with friends, climb the tree, and swing in the banyan tree. Some of the highlights of the summer concerts were Frank De Lima and Melveen Leed.

A Midsummer Night's Gleam

Every summer we go to Foster Botanical Garden's "A Midsummer Night's Gleam". There are art activities, belly dancers, music making with pots and pans, bow and arrow shooting, medieval jousting, and things like that. We didn't get to stay for the "Gleam" part of the evening, where they light up the pathways with candles, as the boys were getting fussy and it started to rain (and Daddy didn't come with us this year, so Mommy had her hands full). But, we still had a lot of fun!

Heading to the Beach

One of the best things about living in Hawai'i is that if you ever want a last minute activity to do, you can just head to the beach. It's close. It's free. And, heck, you don't even need a swim suit. Here we were just hanging out at Kahala Beach. I was jumping in the sand.
And posing nicely for a picture with Zack who has been practicing standing up on his own.
We walked over to the Kahala hotel side, but I told Mom I didn't want to change into my swim clothes. I told her I just wanted to play in the sand. But, when I saw the water, I said, perhaps I'd just stick my feet in.

The water just looked way too inviting.
Suddenly...I don't know what happened...but I was wet up to my chin! (fully clothed)
Oh well! Might as well just continue playing in the sand!

I had so much fun! Mom, let's come back to the beach again!

The Ice Age

One of my favorite things Mom took me to this summer was the Ice Age exhibit at Pearlridge Center. I got to ride the train and got a saber tooth cat button. We went twice in one week, and the second time, Mom even painted my face like a tiger before we went!
