November Highlights

Here we are visiting baby Abigail and Uncle Vince, Daddy's best friend, and Auntie Julie.

And here we are helping out at one of Nana's big craft fairs at Neil Blaisdell Center. We are a very productive clean up crew...Yeah, right!

And, here I am celebrating Mommy's and Pop's birthday on November 29th. (Nana thought Chase and I should have our own cupcakes to celebrate the big day.)
Here's Mommy with her honey toast at Shokudo....Happy 25th Birthday! (Yeah, right!)

We're Superheroes!

Zack enjoyed the ornate screen and chair at Pyramids Restaurant. He didn't really like the belly dancers' bells and he kept waving hi to the music, but Chase (I mean, Superman) really liked her!

Since Chase decided to change from a cowboy to Superman, and I had the Hulk costume from when Chase was 1....and since we already were the Incredibles at Disneyland, I guess we'll just be the Superhero family for Halloween. I'm still thinking of a cool group costume for the annual costume contest, but we'll see if I can make it happen by this weekend!

Zack Walking At 12 Months

Zack turned one last Friday, and up until then he had been cruising and taking a few unassisted steps here and there. This past week, he has decided to take at least 6 or 7 steps unassisted. And he has tried to walk more instead of crawling during the day. He sure is starting to walk! I tried to get him to walk to me tonight.

Disneyland!

Just a few photos of our trip to Disneyland....It was a busy time, and we had beautiful weather, except for our last full day when it turned to Seattle-like cold and rainy weather...and boy was it wet! More later as Mom has a busy work month with training for teachers to plan and a portfolio to complete!

Fall Break ... Disneyland Bound

Chase is still getting over his cold (and he constantly reminds me that I gave him the cold, saying "Mommy, you need to tell me sorry for getting you sick, Chase."). Zack recently recovered from roseola (and after a week of worrying that he had an ear infection, we realized that he was just perfecting his back arching and high pitched screams because he was dealing with this virus.) Now, he's back to his food-loving, talkative, finger-pointing self. He's been taking a few steps unassisted, but mainly cruises around the house and often reverts back to his one-knee, one-legged crawl (that Chase also did as a baby...go figure...I guess they are brothers!). Zack is now also starting to throw tantrums, but we just laugh because it's so cute. When he's frustrated with something, he just throws himself face forward, arms extended out, on the floor, and lies there for a bit on his tummy.

I'm sure it won't be as cute on the plane, but we're trying to think positive and hope that Zack doesn't try to show off his high shrieks and experiment with tantrums when we fly on Saturday to head to L.A. That's right, we'll be in Disneyland on Sunday and visiting with Mickey and Minnie and all of their friends throughout the week.

Nana and Pop will join us the first couple of days, and then GlamMa will join us the last few days. We're so excited!

In the meantime, I'm trying to finish a busy work week, pack, get our costumes ready for Mickey's Halloween party, and prepare some lessons and a power point for when we return from Fall Break.

Wish us luck! And we'll make sure to take plenty of pictures!

Zack started a new sitter this week. On Mondays, she will come to our house. On Wednesdays and Fridays, we'll go to Jade's house. Nikki will watch us both there. (Jade is 2 years old.) Here we are swimming at their house on Sunday.
And, here's Zack beating up on Daddy's head! He thought it was so funny! (I don't know if Daddy thought it was though! It's a good thing he doesn't have too much hair to pull because Zack likes to do that too!).

The Many Goofy Faces of Chase

Chase's favorite thing these days is to make us laugh with his cross-eyed look. Even while eating dinner, he'll go "There's two of you...now, there's only one. There's two of you...now, there's only one." What a goofball!
