An (Expensive) Visit To The Beach

We went to the beach today and got to try out my new boogie board.  It's been awhile since I've been to the beach.  I was so sick this winter with colds, and the weather was so rainy, that we hardly ever went to the beach.  Nana bought this board for me after she saw a newspaper article on the product.  It looks like a boogie board, but has a hole for me to sit in it, and then there's a steering wheel for me to hold onto and play with near the leash.  Today was the perfect afternoon to try it out.  Daddy took me out all over Kahala Beach while Mommy chatted with this nice couple in front of the Mandarin Hotel.  I had a blast and was in the ocean for nearly an hour!  It's fun to go on impromptu visits to the beach.  The beach is always close, and it's free fun!  Except for today, our visit cost $35, since Mommy and Daddy found a parking ticket on the car.  Oops!  Well, we all had fun anyway!

When I got home, I was surprised to see a new bed in my room! It's a blue race car bed!  I had fun climbing up and down on the bed.  Daddy's too scared to let me sleep in it at night though.  He's afraid I'll fall off the bed.  So, for now, it's just a fixture in my room.  But, it was also free, since we got it from Noah, a boy who goes to daycare with me.  He hardly slept in it, but Mommy said that when they went to go get it, he cried, "My car!"  Don't worry, I'll take good care of the car.
